How does the rental process work?

- The pickup will be arranged by us, but the cost is covered by the one-time charge.

Throughout the process, Elegance on Rent will stay in touch with you to confirm measurements and ensure the garment fits perfectly.
How early or late can I book the outfit?
We are pleased to assist you in planning for your special occasion. You can reserve an outfit with us up to 3 months in advance, ensuring you secure the perfect ensemble. For last-minute needs, we can accommodate orders placed 4-7 days prior to your event, depending on your location.
What if the outfit is delivered late?
We will process a full refund in such a case.
How can I ensure that the product I order is exactly the same as the image?
All product images displayed on our website are captured by our team to guarantee authenticity and provide you with an accurate representation of the garments.
Can I extend the rental duration for my outfit?
Certainly! If you’d like to keep the outfit for more than 3 days, you can opt for an extended rental period, provided the garment is not booked by another customer for the same dates or immediately after. For any additional days beyond 3, a supplementary charge of 10-15% of the rental price will apply for each extra day, and this amount must be paid in advance.
What if I want to cancel/ change my booking?

How do you ensure the hygiene of the outfits?
At Elegance on Rent, hygiene has always been a top priority. We follow a meticulous inspection process every time an outfit is returned. Each garment is carefully examined, professionally dry-cleaned, sanitized, and steam-ironed before and after every use. Rest assured, your outfit will look and feel as fresh as new. We take pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and quality, ensuring you’re delighted with your choice!
Will I need to Iron the outfit?
We take extra care to steam and iron every garment before delivery to ensure it arrives crease-free. We recommend that you hang the outfit carefully until it’s time to wear it. While we do not suggest ironing the outfit yourself, if you do notice any wrinkles, we advise steaming it on a low heat setting. Please avoid using high heat, as this could damage the fabric.
Can I make alterations to the outfit myself?
We strongly advise against making any alterations to the outfit on your own. Each garment is carefully prepared by our team to ensure the best fit and experience for our customers. We prefer to handle all alterations internally to maintain the quality and integrity of the outfit. Please note that any damage caused due to alterations made by the customer will result in a deduction from the security deposit.
What happens if I return the outfit late?
Oh no! We truly hope this doesn’t happen, but in case it does, we kindly ask you to return the outfit on time so we can fulfill our promise to other customers. Sadly, if the outfit is returned after the 3-day rental period, a late fee of 30% of the rental amount will be charged for each additional day. If the garment is not returned within 8 days, a late fee equivalent to 150% of the product’s retail price will apply. We encourage you to plan ahead and avoid these additional charges!
Why do I need to pay a security deposit?
As part of our standard procedure, a security deposit is required when you rent an outfit. This deposit is approximately 20-30% of the garment’s MRP and acts as a safety measure to ensure the outfit is well taken care of during your rental period. Rest assured, this is just a precautionary step, and you will receive the full deposit back as long as the outfit is returned in its original condition.
When will I receive my security deposit refund?
Your security deposit will be refunded in full once the outfit is returned to us in its original condition and passes our thorough inspection and quality check. If everything is in order, the refund will be processed and should reflect in your bank account (or in cash, if you made a cash payment) within 7 to 10 working days. Rest assured, your deposit is in safe hands with us! *Please note that refunds will only be processed via online payment or in cash for cash payments.
What happens if the outfit is damaged during the rental period?
We understand that some minor wear and tear is inevitable, and we trust you’ll treat our exquisite outfits with the utmost care. However, if the outfit sustains substantial damage or a stain that cannot be removed through our standard cleaning procedures, we will need to charge you for the necessary restoration. The fee will be determined based on the extent of the damage. We offer two complimentary dry cleanings after the return of the outfit, but if stains persist even after these treatments, a deduction may be made from your security deposit. In cases where the damage is severe enough to render the outfit un-rentable or require costly repairs, we will unfortunately be unable to refund the security deposit. Do I need to wash or clean the outfits before I wear them?
Rest assured, there’s no need for you to clean the outfit before wearing it! We take immense pride in the meticulous care we provide for our collection. Each outfit undergoes a thorough cleaning process handled by our certified, trusted dry cleaning partners. We ensure that each piece is carefully inspected, professionally cleaned, and delicately steamed and pressed to perfection. Our eco-friendly, non-toxic cleaning agents are designed to effectively eliminate any viruses or bacteria, ensuring that the outfit reaches you in pristine condition, ready to be worn with confidence.
Do I need to dry clean the outfits before returning them?
We’ve made the return process as simple and convenient as possible for you. After you’ve enjoyed your outfit, simply return it to us—no need to worry about dry cleaning. We handle all the cleaning and restoration, ensuring everything is ready for the next customer. Just send it back, and we’ll take care of the rest!
Can I purchase the outfit I rented?
If you’ve fallen in love with the outfit you rented, simply reach out to us! We’ll be happy to provide all the details and help you explore the option of purchasing it.
What does “preloved outfits” mean?
Preloved outfits are gently used clothing that has been worn but is still in excellent condition. These outfits are carefully inspected, cleaned, and made available for rent or sale, offering you a sustainable and affordable option for stylish attire while giving pre-owned fashion a second life.
Do I get any rewards for referring a friend?
Yes! When a friend you’ve referred rents and returns their first outfit, you’ll receive a discount coupon worth 20%. You can use this coupon towards a future rental, making your next experience even more enjoyable!
